TYPES OF DATA MCM COLLECTS AND PURPOSES
MCM collects individually identifiable data that you actively submit through the Site and cookies, flash cookies, web beacons and other tracking technologies. Additionally, MCM collects some information from our customers who provide a customer information card at one of our stores.

E-COMMERCE PLATFORM
You may place orders and purchase products through the Site. When an order is placed, we collect the following information from you:

This information is required to process your order and to perform the contract with you. Depending on which payment method you chose, we securely share your payment details with the payment service provider handling the payments or to the payment service of your choice. The transmission is conducted on lawful bases according to Hong Kong’s Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance, the Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) of Malaysia, Singapore, and Thailand, the Personal Information Protection Act of Taiwan, as well as the Privacy Act of Australia and New Zealand. Some payment services would collect this information independently if you registered with such payment service. In this case, you are asked to log into your account of the payment service, and the processing of your payment details are subject to the Privacy Policy of such payment service.
You may also create a customer account, which allows you to view prior purchases, to reorder the products you ordered and to store personal details and payment details for future orders. When you create a customer account, we store the information you entered into the online form. You may request your customer account to be deleted by contacting us via the e-mail addresses provided in the CONTACT US section. Storage of your personal information is done on lawful bases under Hong Kong’s Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance, the Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) of Malaysia, Singapore, and Thailand, the Personal Information Protection Act of Taiwan, as well as the Privacy Act of Australia and New Zealand.
We store your order details as we are obliged to according to statutory retention periods. Your address, payment and order details are stored as long as we are required to according to statutory retention periods.
CONTACT FORM
The Site also offers a contact form, which allows you to make enquiries, ask questions, give recommendations and make suggestions to us. When you use the contact form, the details you entered into the form, your IP address and the time and date of your enquiry are transmitted to us.
We use your e-mail address to contact you to process your enquiry. If you provided us with information, such information would be used to either address you personally or to facilitate processing your enquiry. Such information is only used to process your enquiry. We do not use such information for other purposes.

Our newsletter also contains a web-beacon or tracking pixel, which represent a one-pixel image stored on the Site. We use this technology to analyse user behaviour by assigning cookie data to unique IDs. Any data that would make it possible to identify your identity pseudonymized in this process, so you don’t have to worry about your privacy. However, you always have the option to unsubscribe to our newsletter. Any information collected is then deleted. MCM CUSTOMER IN-STORE REGISTRATION
We may also collect personal data from you when you sign up to our customer card by filling out the application form. The application form may be provided in paper form or through an app installed on a device held available in our physical Stores.
We store the information you provided in the application form, including your name, street address, telephone number, mobile number, date of birth, nationality and e-mail address. Besides your e-mail address, all the information you enter is voluntary. We use this data to personalise content for you, as well as for internal marketing research purposes.
We use your e-mail address to regularly send you directing marketing communication about the MCM fashion collection, news, events, offers and styles to you via e-mail. If you consented to receive marketing communication via postal mail, we would also use your complete postal address to send you marketing communication via mail. If you agreed to receive marketing communication via SMS, we would also use your phone number to regularly send you updates about MCM, its fashion collection, news, offers and styles via SMS.
You consented to such usage when you signed up to the customer card by indicating the relevant box in the application form. You are entitled to withdraw your consent at any times for future use by sending us a message to the e-mail address or postal address provided in our CONTACT US section. CLIENTELLING
To offer you the best possible customer experience in our Stores, we use a clienteling solution, which allows the sales assistants in the Stores to view your transaction and purchase history and to provide you with personalised recommendations regarding goods that may be of your interest.
The sales associates can only view your purchase history and possible product recommendations if you identified yourself as a registered user as part of our clienteling solution by informing the sales associate of your name, e-mail address or phone number associated with your customer account.
When creating a customer account, we have asked you to consent to such use of your data. DATA DISCLOSURE AND SHARING
We may share and receive personal data within the MCM affiliated group of companies, so that MCM may inform you of other products that may be of interest to you, improve your shopping experience, and improve our Site design. We may also disclose personal data (such as IP address, e-mail and phone number) for profiling and marketing purposes. You may opt-out of our sharing your personal information with such affiliates and franchisees by contacting us.
We contract with selected third parties that provide services on our behalf to maintain our Site, provide our client communications, and provide other services. The personal data that we obtain through this Site may be accessed by these third parties, solely on MCM’s behalf, but we generally do not authorise these service providers to make any other use of personal data. SHARE BUTTONS
We use social media plugins of the social networks Facebook and X on the Site. The Facebook plugin is operated by Facebook Inc., 1601 S. California Ave, Palo Alto, CA 94304, USA (“Facebook”). The X plugin operated by Inc., 1355 Market St, Suite 900, San Francisco, CA 94103, USA (“X”).
The operator of the plugin receives the information that you visited the Site and the information included in the log files as described above, regardless, if you are registered with the relevant operator. EMBEDDING YOUTUBE VIDEOS
We may embed videos in the Site which are hosted on www.youtube.com and which may be played directly on the Site. YouTube is a service operated by YouTube LLC, 901 Cherry Ave, San Bruno, CA 94066, USA (“YouTube”).
YouTube receives the information that you visited the relevant page of the Site, where the video is embedded when you click on play. Further, YouTube uses cookies to collect information about the visitor of the Site and transfers these data to YouTube, regardless if you are registered with YouTube or if you are logged into your account. DOUBLECLICK
The Site uses the online marketing tool DoubleClick by Google. DoubleClick uses cookies to place ads which match your interests, to improve reports about campaign performances or to avoid that ads are presented to you several times. Google uses a cookie ID to record, which ads have been already shown to you in which browser and can avoid that advertisements will be presented to you several times. HOW MCM PROTECTS PERSONAL INFORMATION
MCM takes all precautionary measures to protect the personal information shared on our website. MCM [and hired third parties related to transaction and fulfilment only] store information internally in controlled, secure environments on servers within Japan, Singapore, and the U.S. MCM occasionally hires other companies to provide limited services on our behalf, including packaging, mailing and delivering purchases, sending postal mail and processing event registrations. FACEBOOK FAN PAGE COOKIES
Please be advised that Facebook captures cookies stored on the device accessing our MCM Facebook Fan Page when the Fan Page is visited. This includes data on the access IP address, web browser, and Facebook profile information if registered with Facebook. FACEBOOK INSIGHTS
If you are registered with Facebook when accessing the MCM Fan Page, Facebook uses your information to compile analysis and statistics about the use of the Fan Page (“Facebook Insights”).
